This blade was hand forged in Japan by Tadayoshi Tokaji. The core steel is Blue 1 from Yasuki hagane, it is an alloy steel with W and Cr, to improve heat-treatment properties and wear resistance. With a blade length of 155mm, this Santoku is light, agile, and very sharp.
This blade was fitted with hybrid oval/WA handle, for a balance of control, and comfort. The handle was crafted from a highly figured, rare piece of Koa wood. Finished with Hemp seed oil, and wax, for lustre, and protection.
